    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE ON THE BOARD AT TAYLOR COUNTY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: Back in 2018 I was getting phone calls in my office from people who had no where to sleep at night and we had no services to offer except a one night motel voucher. It was then I called community members together to work towards a solution to assist those facing homeless in Taylor County.

    WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?:
    I was born and raised right here in Taylor County in Rib Lake. Although I left after high school I moved back years later.

    HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT MY JOB AND WHAT I DO....:
    I am the Executive Director of the Taylor County Housing Authority. I run grant programs for low to moderate income families for both down payment assistance to purchase a home or grants to do necessary repairs on their home. Additionally, I have two affordable rentals, one here in Medford and one in Gilman.

    ABOUT MY FAMILY AND WHO I SHARE MY HOME WITH:
    I own a home in Rib Lake with my husband and our two daughters, we also have a dog Sophia. I have a grown daughter and grandson in Taylor County as well.

    FUN FACTS ABOUT ME...:
    I worked in banking for 20 years and thought that was what I was meant to do until the day I was offered the job at Taylor County Housing Authority and I realized I was meant for bigger things. I love my job and the way I am able to help people with housing. "There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home."

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE ON THE BOARD AT TAYLOR COUNTY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING:

    I worked with countless people in my work at Human services struggling with housing. I always knew the need for this shelter and wanted to step up and assist this board with proving this critical service for our struggling community members.

    WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?: Wausau

    HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT MY JOB AND WHAT I DO....:

    I worked for 32 years at Human Services in a variety of positions, all working with assisting vulnerable people with safety and stability concerns. I retired in February but remain interested in making sure these people receive the services they need to become safe and stable community members.

    ABOUT MY FAMILY AND WHO I SHARE MY HOME WITH:

    I am married to Shane Hatlestad for 36 years, have two sons, Eric and Max, one grandchild, Otto.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE ON THE BOARD AT TAYLOR COUNTY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: Through my work with other organizations and local church, I am passionate about serving our neighbors, especially those who are in need of emergency housing. We are blessed to be a blessing!

    WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?: Marshfield, WI

    HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT MY JOB AND WHAT I DO....:

    I am a Field Claims Representative for United Mutual Insurance Company out of Medford, WI. I help our customers who experience a property insurance loss (fire, wind, water).

    ABOUT MY FAMILY AND WHO I SHARE MY HOME WITH:

    My wife and I live in Medford and are blessed with two wonderful children ages 5 & 2 and an 8 yr old dog.

    FUN FACTS ABOUT ME...:

    When I'm not working, volunteering, or chasing my kids around, I enjoy officiating high school football, basketball, and baseball. I've been fortunate to officiate games with some great people over the years and had the honor to referee a state football championship game in Madison and two state girls basketball games.

    WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE ON THE BOARD AT TAYLOR COUNTY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: To learn more about the housing needs for homeless in our area and to help those affected in any way I can.

    WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?: Loyal, WI

    HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT MY JOB AND WHAT I DO....: I retired from Nestlé Pizza Company in 2015. The 30 years of my career there were mainly in Human Resources, working in recruitment, hiring processes, employee benefits, insurance, disability, family leave, and coordinating employee events.

    ABOUT MY FAMILY AND WHO I SHARE MY HOME WITH: My husband Jim taught for 36 years at MASH and my four children grew up in Medford.

    FUN FACTS ABOUT ME...: I enjoy piano, reading, traveling, and time with kids and grandkids.
